EDPC 664 Dash Design Journal

Dash Design Journal
Name: Ian J. Wharton
Date:  7/27/19
Purpose of the Project:
What problem do you want to solve using Dash? What do you want Dash to do?
-The problem that I want to solve using Dash is to program Dash to do tricks using Blocky.
-I want Dash to do a trick after the first button is hit and then another trick after the second button.
-I want Dash to bark and act like a dog
Solution to the Problem:
Document your idea to solve the problem, and document each step you will take to solve the problem. What coding concepts do you plan to use to command the robot to solve the problem? Draft the blocks to help you program the Dash.
-Blocky App will be used to solve the two functions
- Using function and sequencing to make sure it follows sequential order.
-Lights on block will be used along with sounds where a sound of a dog will be used.
Results:
What did Dash do when you ran your program? Did you make any mistakes? If yes, how did you fix the mistakes?
-Dash ran to the program that was inserted into the Blocky App
-There were a few mistakes with the coding that came up in the Blocky App
**If the first idea did not work, draft the new block using a new blank paper and continue to run your program.
Connections:
What was the most difficult part of the challenge? What did you learn from it?

-The most difficult part was being creative and patient in the thought process of how to make Dash act like a dog.
-I learned how to use the two different functions to make Dash  perform new prompts when asked.
